SCAM ALERT — We have received numerous calls from residents regarding a gentleman soliciting magazine subscriptions under the company name of United Circulation LLC.  He has used basically the same story stating that his grandmother lives in the neighborhood.  He also tells the resident that their neighbor just bought 2 magazines and told him what nice people they were.  He asks to come into your home so he has something to write on and will often ask to use your bathroom (possibly searching medicine cabinets for drugs).  He will tell you he can give you a discount if you pay cash, and if you don’t want the magazines, they can be donated to the soldiers overseas.  BEWARE — THIS IS A SCAM!  DO NOT GIVE HIM MONEY OR CHECKS.  DO NOT LET HIM ENTER YOUR HOME.  CALL THE POLICE AT 889-2341 IMMEDIATELY IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU.
